If you had a child in 2008 you have to claim them on the 2008 taxes, but if she had the baby before Dec. 31, 2007 you can claim the child on 2007's taxes. |

A child who isn't born yet at the end of 2007 can't be claimed on a 2007 return. You can claim the child starting for the year when they're born. |

When you are filing your tax return you should be answering the questions as if it was 12/31/2007. You didn't have your child on that date so you cannot claim him/her.
Turbo tax may let you put it in but the IRS will reject it |

Look at the calendar, Daddy--it's 2008. THIS is the year you can claim Baby...now get offline and go be beside your wife & baby!!!

its a possibility, I dont have a definate answer but there are things other than children that you can claim on your previous years taxes such as IRA payments... mabey you can claim a child too check into it |
