I haven't seen mine in years either but I know it off by heart. It's on all my wage slips and letters off the tax man. You should contact your local tax office if you don't know your number.

If you loose you national insurance card you will not be issused a new one.
My daughter had hers stolen, and when we phoned up the Social they told us that you only get issued one, and you do not get issued any more.

Jason O
you don't really need it as long as you have the number. If you are worried contact Social Security for a replacement

If you have lost it call your local DSS office - they may or may not replace it (budget Constraints!!)
Always keep a note of the number ( it will be on your pay slips)

I think in general they replace the first lost one but after that they dont as a rule.

You will find the local benefits office listed in your yellow pages
