Life is not a dress rehearsal!
No stimulus check for me?
Greetings,

As of today 5/02/08 I have not received a stimulus payment from the government. I did use direct deposit when I filed this year. Is it a logical assumption that I won't be getting a stimulus payment?

It depends on when you filed your return, and what the last two #'s of your ssn are. There are several people who should have gotten theIRS today and checked the IRS web and found out it will be there next week. Don't give up hope, just keep checking the site on a daily basis and if all else fails call the irs. Remember the schedule was just a estimate and it could show up any day now.

My husbands last two of his social are 00 and we havent received anything.

No, it's not a logical assumption. The published schedule is ONLY an estimate and ONLY applies for taxpayers who filed in time for their return to be processed by the IRS by the April 15th filing deadline. If you e-filed after about April 3rd or mailed a paper return after about March 3rd you won't be in the first batch of recipients.

With your SS #, the IRS website says it will be transmitted by May 2nd (today). Today JUST began. Be patient.

The last two digits of my social security # are 11 and I chose direct deposit for my return. I have not yet received the payment. I orginally e-filed my return in January.

First how did you file? If you used someone to file your taxes and they took their fees out of your return you will be getting a paper check. Some thing about it going threw a third party bank instead of directely to your bank. I would also say to wait until after 9am to give your bank time to up date its information.

RS began the transfer economic stimulus payments from April 28, 2008, and many have already seen the payments in their bank accounts. Those who opted for direct deposit will be the first to get the rebate. Mailing of paper check will begin from May 16. Those with last two digits of SSN between 88 to 99 will get paper check after July 4, 2008.

Those who did not get full tax rebate this year, will get remaining money in 2009 when they file their 2008 return and qualify.

For information on stimulus tax rebate schedule, the eligibility and how much rebate you will get read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/are-you-eligible.html
