If you can claim her she probably just needs to fill out a 1040EZ. There is a spot on their to check if someone else is claiming you. |

If you were able to claim your sister as a dependent, the IRS will not permit her to claim herself on her own tax return.
Other than that, I think she can file the simplest form possible for her situation. |

She'll need to file a 1040A since she was carried as a dependent on your taxes |

Hopefully your sister is your dependent. She simply indicates that she is your dependent on her form. |

It really doesn't matter which form she fills out, 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ as long as she indicates that she has been claimed as a dependent. |

She can use whatever form is best for her situation. she can not use a 1040ez because she is a dependent of another!!! If she just has income and or a small amount of interest she can use a 1040A. Tell her NOT to mark box 6a (yourself. If someone can claim you as a dependent DO NOT check this box. |

Anyone claimed as a dependent on someones taxes cannot claim themselveson their own taxes. She can file whatever form is appropriate: EZ, 1040, 1040A |
