That depends on the state he is in, now he has up to 3 years to file his taxes if he don't own Uncle Sam no money he got 3 yrs to file, now if your case worker would take out papers on him they will pick him up and put him behind bars, but that depends on what state he is living in also.

where is everybody?

let the IRS go after him. also, have his wages garnished, put a lien on anything he owns. if he has made enough to file, he will get in trouble, yes. they will catch up and may do it anyway without his concent. his intrest will be outragous. he's hurting himself even more.

If he doesn't file he's just down right stupid. because even if that money goes to you now.. he won't owe it later on. NO, he won't go to jail - but, some little birdie could call the IRS and give the information out to them so he has to file.

He might end up owing more

dumbdumb
eventually the irs will catch up with him. key word eventually. it sometimes takes years for the irs to catch up. but first there will be penalties like he will have to pay intrest then again eventually they will seek jail time but like i said it will take a while

he sure likes to gamble.

Some states have a department that collects late payments
and pays them to the guardian. This is sometimes done across state lines if he is in another state.

Anyway, he is in violation of a court order. Call the clerk of court
where the order was issued and ask what your options are.
Will the court do anything to enforce their order?

Good luck. My kids deadbeat dad owes me way over 30,000 and noone has done anything!!! And everyone says about liens and this and that...Does he own anything car??house?? You have to goto family court to get liens. IRS doesnt care unless he makes buckets of money. they aren't going to go after someone who has nothing. why waste there time and money to get nothing

Everyone has to file there taxes..Regardless.

if he doesnt file his taxes, the IRS will contact your local police department and he will be arrested.

The IRS does not give breaks or 2nd chances, they dont fool around.

It happened to my uncle 2 years ago.
