That's a bit worrying that you don't get a payslip, seems a bit dodgy, you should ask your empoyer about that and report them if they don't start giving you them.
Last tax year you paid 10% on £0-£2230 over £5225 so I reckon you paid about £90 tax....assuming you have actually been paying tax in this suspect situation. |

As others have said, legally, you have to get a payslip. If, as I and others suspect, your employer is not deducting tax and NIC, it is your employer who will be in trouble with HMRC, not you.
However, in order to protect your NIC's, you do need to sort this out and ask for a payslip. |

By law you should be provided with a payslip!
I think it depends on your tax code because that shows how much you can earn before you start paying tax. |

They must be paying you cash in hand so not paying any tax if they don't give you a pay slip. |

I left the uk a while ago but you are entitled to a payslip and the amount seems to be too low to pay any tax |
|

yr employer is legally required to supply u with a payslip. its not possible to tell what u have earned before tax as we dont know what rate of tax yr employer deducts from yr salary. |

I've played around with the figures on www.listentotaxman. Your gross pay is £6392 per annum, you should take home £512.02 each month. Monthly deductions tax £9.73, NIC £10.93, yearly tax £116.70, NIC £131.12. I have based figures on the last tax year 2007/2008, as you may not have been paid this year yet, the new tax year having started on 06/04/08. You are like me, will pay more tax this year with the abolition of 10% band. I would expect monthly deductions to be tax £15.95, NIC £8.54, if pay rate unchanged, take home pay £508.17.
Your employer should give you form P60 within six weeks of the end of the tax year, 5th April. Will be interesting to see if it is forthcoming. If he doesn't deliver the goods, I would contact HMRC to see if he has you registered as his employee. |

if you were lucky till now not to be caught or your employer wasn't caught for not to filling the tax form then don't do it now!
because IR can take you and the employer for investigation. |

It is against the law for your employer to make deductions from your pay without providing details of them. Report your employer to HMRC anonymously.
I've just looked at some of the other answers;;;a) the form P60 is provided by your employer, not the tax office. b) if you have no other income you won't be due to pay much tax if any. c) did you fill in form P45 or P46 when you started work? d) you can call the tax office anytime and ask where they think you are working - this should give some indication of whether your employer has forwarded the P45/P46.
Quite separately you should report the employer anonymously - you lose some important rights when your NI and tax record is not straight eg sick pay and pension rights |

Are they paying you in cash? Or they could just transfer the money into your back?
If you dont get a pay slip, you may not be paying tax! Do you get through a letter from the tax office at the end of the tax year, I think it is a form P60 that tells you how much tax and NI you have paid, and your tax code for the coming year? Everyone gets one of these, so if you havent seen one, then you better speak to your employer!! They may not be declaring you as an employee!
You should check this out, because you must be close to earning the National Minimum Wage. You must make sure you are above it, because you are entitled to be! |

sounds like your boss is fiddling the books, you are legally entitled to a payslip,as a guide you pay 20% tax on the first £2000,and then 25% on the remainder, check it out at the CAB(citizens advice berueue) |
