A very good evening to you my princess!
I think students do not pay council tax. Hope this bit will help you…….. Council tax- disregards for students
When we work out your Council Tax we assume that two people, aged 18 or over, live in most properties. Some people however can be disregarded for the purpose of calculating a council tax discount. This means that we will not count them when we decide how many people, aged 18 or over, live in your property. We may be able to give you a Council Tax Discount if someone in your home is
a full time student attending a college or university
student nurses, apprentice or national traineeship trainees
foreign spouses or dependants of a student (who is prevented by the terms of his/her leave to enter or remain in the UK,and from working or claiming benefit)
persons under 20 and still at school or who have recently left school/college
a person aged 18 who still has child benefit paid for them
a person who is a foreign language assistant
apprentices
national traineeship trainees
Wish you luck Take care love xoxo

No you do not - get the necessary form from either your college or university and send in - my son is at uni and I dont have to pay. Also your mum can still get child benefit for you until you are 19 as you are in education.

No, you get a form from your local council to prove you're a student. Just done this for my daughter at Uni.
Extra info - The first thing to remember is that full time students normally don't have to pay any Council Tax if they are living in a hall of residence or a property where all the adult residents are also full time students.
Where the property is occupied by a mixture of full time students and part-time or non students the property is not exempt from Council Tax, but you shouldn't have to pay more than your own share.

when you are in full time study i believe you do not have to pay council tax, well, i didnt anyhoo. i do not think you get child benefit for anyone 18 or over because they are not considered a child anymore.

All the time your child is in FULL TIME education you will still get child support, all you have to do is let the child benefit know that you still have a young person in full time education, they will pay until your child reaches 20 and still lives at home, look at the link I have put below

students do not pay council tax. Unemployed people do not pay it either but pay about £10 per month to water rates in the UK.
