I think it's best to adjust your withholding allowances during the year so you don't get a refund at all or get a very little one. Letting the government hold onto your money all year without paying you interest is a bit ridiculous especially if you have debt. I about broke even this year and with my extra money each paycheck paid off debt and paid a lot less in finance charges.

E. Pay for my last semester of college.

Technically I wouldn't need it to pay for that, but it's going into my account where some money will be used for the purpose I stated above.

I'm actually buying a new home and some of it is going towards the down payment some is going into savings for my kids and some is going to be used to buy thing for my kids like clothes and other necessities.

I'll just file mine. That's what you do with a tax RETURN.

And as I hate making interest free loans to the government, I won't be getting a REFUND, I'll be paying about $1,000.

Plan on paying off most of my bills. Especially car insurance and installment loans so I don't have to worry about paying it through the rest of the year.
