Question about my stimulus check?
Back in January I did my taxes at H&R Block. I paid my H&R Block services fees with some of my return money. I had the rest of my money deposited into my checking account. According to the IRS web site, because of the last 2 numbers of my SS# I should have gotten my return on the 9th. Whats going on? Best answer gets my vote!

Yes, because you had what they call a refund transfer, having the fees deducted from your refund you will indeed receive a paper check. It stinks I know. I am in the same boat as you are. I used express tax refund.com and had that done and thought we'd have direct deposit but when I spoke to the IRS they told me anything that went through a third party bank, such as H&R, Turbo etc would receive a paper check. I received my paper check today and my last two digits are 07. There is a hotline that you can call 866-234-2942 and enter all your info, it's the IRS Rebate Hotline and they tell you when you are scheduled ;-) Best of luck and happy spending <3 Veronica

You are getting a paper check. Use the schedule for paper check not the one for direct deposit.

(When you allowed fees to be taken from your refund, you also allowed HRB to overlay your bank numbers with theirs, so the IRS doesn't have it and must send you a paper check.)

SINCE YOU HAD FEES DEDUCTED FROM YOUR REFUND YOU'LL BE GETTING A MAILED CHECK EVEN THOUGH YOUR REFUND WAS DIRECT DEPOSITED.WHEN YOU AGREED TO HAVE FEES TAKEN FROM REFUND,YOU ALLOWED BLOCK TO SEND THE IRS THEIR ACCOUNT INFO AND NOT YOURS.SO BLOCK HAD YOUR REFUND DEPOSITED INTO THEIR ACCOUNT ,DEDUCTED THEIR FEES AND DEPOSITED YOUR REFUND IN YOUR ACCOUNT NOT THE IRS,NOW IT'S TIME FOR YOUR REBATE AND IRS HAS NO RECORD OF YOUR ACCOUNT INFO SO THEY'LL MAIL YOU A CHECK INSTEAD.

CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENT FOR WHEN YOU GOT THE REFUND AND IF DOESN'T SAY U. S. TREASURY,YOU ARE DEFINETLY GETTING MAILED A CHECK INSTEAD.

You will be getting your check in the mail and not direct deposit. Your original refund came through H&R Block and then was depostited into your account by H&R Block. Therefore the IRS does not have direct depost set up for you.

According the the IRS website (it states clearly for those who take the time to read it) that anyone who had their taxed filed through a paid preparer (H&R, JH, Turbotax, TaxAct, etc.), then their stimulus rebate will be issued to them in the form of a paper check. Based on your question, your stimulus rebate should be MAILED either 5/23 or 5/30 (depending on your last two digits - not direct deposit)

Your money has not posted because you are getting a paper check! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Anybody who filed their taxes with a third party tax preparer and had the tax fees deducted out of their tax return will get a paper check regardless of if you got direct deposit. And the same goes if you got a refund anticipation loan. Sorry. Same thing happened to me. Hope this helps you.

For the fees to be taken out, your refund was sent by the IRS to Block or whatever preparer, then they took out your fees and deposited the rest to your account. The IRS had THEIR account info, not yours, so can't very well deposit your rebate to your account when they don't know what it is. So you'll get a paper check in the mail. May 0 was the direct deposit date, and you weren't eligible for that.

I feel ya. I owed this year so no direct deposit. But a couple weeks ago I got a letter from the IRS saying I should see the check in the mail on the 16th, just in case someone tried to swipe it. No check came on the 16th, so according to the letter I am to wait 6-8 weeks before doing anything about it.

But it's the gov't. You'll never find anyone who compliments them on their punctuality, so I think it's fair to assume they're just falling behind. The time from G.W.'s decision to the time we were supposed to receive them was pretty aggressive for them to begin with.

You will be receiving a paper check. There is information on the IRS website and a schedule for mailing dates as well.

I have just found out from turbo tax that the irs is forgetting to tell people that if they had direct deposit of there taxes but took the fees out of there taxes for the cost of preparing them then they will not do direct deposit with these checks they will send you a check instead. If you have an e-mail address i think i still have the letter in my e-mail from turbo tax and would gladly send it to you.........

Brandi
It also says that if you used a 3rd party to pay for your prep fees that you will get a check inthe mail.
