REBATE STIMULUS!!!! I am confused!!!!?
hI,i have a question, according to the calculator, i will get a rebate of $600(i used the info to calculate according to my 1040ez) and i checked the status of my rebate and when will i get my money, it says May 9th with only 300bucks... why is that?

do you think the website is updated???
Additional Details
ok my fed. income tax is 382.27

so does that mean i will get a rebate of $300?

Clare
If your 2007 tax liability was income tax is $382.27, and you qualify for the rebate, you should receive $382.

Are you sure you entered everything accurately into the calculator?

How much net income tax did you pay for the year? That's what decides it. If you didn't pay over $300 then that's how much you get.

If you are single, the only way you'd get $600 on a 1040EZ is if your total income was at least $14,750.

Whatever this says... https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?app=IRACTC is correct. You will get up to $600 not exactly $600. I found that the calculator is incorrect! Inorder to receive the full $600, your tax liability must be $600 or over!!! If under then you will receive between $300 and $600. Your Liability must hav only been $300 or under. Mine and my husbands was $1200 joint so we will get the $600 per person...that is what the abouve website said.

Mel
I used the calculator on the IRS website and it was correct - I entered everything exactly as it was filed on our 1040 and the rebate amount came back as $1200.

I then went to the "Where's my rebate?" link, filled in the info, and it said our $1200 was going to be mailed on or before May 16th (just as I thought)

Yes that is correct! My tax liability was $513.00 and that is the amount that will be deposited by May 9th.

Check the IRS website go to Where's My Stimulus Payment?, type in your social/filing status, and it will tell you the amount!

Hope this helps!!

The rebate payment will equal the amount of tax liability on the return (tax liability on the return Form 1040 line 46 or Form 1040A line 28) with a minimum amount of $300 and a maximum amount of $600 for individuals.

For information on stimulus tax rebate schedule, the eligibility and how much rebate you will get read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/are-you-eligible.html
