TOTAL SCAM! THE IRS NEVER SENDS EMAILS LIKE THAT!
I saw on a news show a rep from the IRS talking about that and she said there are a lot of scams like that and that they NEVER send emails or call you on the phone for info. And, she said if you get an email like that to forward it to the IRS so that they could trace it and deal with it, ect. So, do NOT respond to the fake IRS email please! |

Well, the IRS would not misspell refund.
This is a scam. Someone wants you to be stupid enough to give them your credit card number so they can give you your "refund". Don't fall for it.
The email address might say it came from the IRS but right click on it and go to the properties for it. You will probably find that it is going to a completely different address. |

Sure sounds like a scam to me. Anytime you are asked for an account number or in this case a cc number, it's fishy. The IRS does not email taypayers! |

The IRS does not use Email - they use regular postal mail
They also will NEVER ask for your personal information on the phone or online - I wouldn't do a thing with that email but you can always call the IRS to ask them |

The IRS NEVER sends e-mails. They do EVERYTHING by snail mail. Any correspondence at all with the IRS will be done by snail mail. Delete the e-mail and by all means please don't giveout your personal information in respose to any e-mails. |
