i recently bought a car without telling my parents (i am 17) and i want to keep the car but my parents are forcing me to sell it off, the road tax runs out at the end of september and is there any way i can renew the road tax without being insured on the car??

is there any way i can insure the car for one day and buy the road tax as i don't to pay the annualy price. |

No, you can't get road tax without insurance. I don't understand why you would want to tax the car but not insure it, you wouldn't be able to drive it unless you're planning to drive it without insurance. If this is the case then I hope you get caught and sent to prison. |

Why don't you want insurance, if you get it properly insured taxed and mot'd your parents may well see you as a responsible driver and encourage you to keep the car!

Are you saying you cant get insurance or dont want to?
If you drive without insurance (even the minimum 3rd party) and cause injury or death to others including your passengers you will be in deep shite. Other peoples lives will be wrecked and so will yours.
You will end up being banned from driving, criminalised and jailed.
The police can easily check from number plates if a car is insured or not.

no, you need a full certificate of insurance in your name and an mot certificate that is in date, also the green slip off of the log book which the previous owner shouldve given you or the full log book if youve posted it and had it back. |

go to post office and ask but I'm sure you need insurance if you cant get it taxed stick it on one of your mates driveway dvla cant touch it but if you keep it off-road for more than a month declare it off road to dvla till you get things sorted good luck with mum and dad |
