Clarify few things.

Your Age
Your Gender
Your Residential Status

What is 840000/- ?
Is it a
salary income or
Income from house property or
Income from capital gains or
Income from mutual funds or
income from other sources or
Income from undeclared sources or
any other income.

Moreover Tax deduction 80C is available only if you have invested in any of the items mentioned in the said section 80C .

your question is not clear.
IS 840000 is your annual income or u do you want to save up to 840000?

any how if you are an employee.you can get tax exemption
up to rupees one lakh (per year)of your earnings under sec 80cc
it covers your provident funds , insurance policy premiums, national savings scheme savings, house building loan princial, tuition fees for your children education, etc.

in addition if you are paying house rent then you can get exemption for that rent.
payment to any relief fund, donation to registered trusts who are doing social service , any intrest for housing loan for self occupied property, medical exemption , professional tax paid by you also exempted.
if you are a woman another 35000 can be exempted.

this much you get exemption from tax if you are an employee.

tax saving is also an art of saving for your better future. If you need help to find out how much exact amount you can save, contact me through email. i can assist you.
