It is a legal tax because the powers in power (the judicial branch, the legislative branch and the legislative branch) say it is legal. That is how life works. The ones with the power make the rules and everyone else is stuck with them.

Well, it is a direct tax. Direct taxes were one of the reasons our forefathers fought in the Revolution. I believe the 13th amendment to the constitution legalized income tax. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |
