they have agreed,,,accepting your repayment constitutes acceptance, however, i would call them and just ask that they write to confirm. If they don't reply within 2 weeks contact your local councillor and follow the advice of the answerer with the long weird name |

they have a duty to reply to you within 2 weeks. write another letter - send it recorded delivery....that will get you a response....& if it doesn't - contact your local councillor ... they will put a boot up their backsides!!
always remember...it is the public who pay THEIR wages down at the Town Halls...you deserve a reply to your letter!! |

Did you keep a copy of the letter you sent? I always keep a copy of these kind of things for this reason. If you have send another letter with a copy of the first attached and explain that you are still awaiting their reply and you would appreciate a response. Send recorded delivery, and also keep a copy of this too. These kind of people (government bodies) are notorious for losing or delaying letters. I'm sure they are trained in it. lol
Try writing to the Unemployment office etc, they never reply first time and when you ask them, they ALWAYS say they have no record of your letter!!! Bull. it's just a delaying tactic in the hopes that you will give up. That's what made me start keeping copies, then they can't get out of it as you have proof.
Good luck |

well obviously the cheque is presented ad goes through the system straight away. The offer you made has to be considered , might t you will hear. However pay according to your offer whether you hear or not... You probably will within the next couple of weeks |

Send another letter? Explain that you are wondering if they are in agreement or not. |

Write another letter to them saying that as they have cashed your cheque, you assume that they are in agreeance with your repayment offer, and that if you do not hear from them within 14 working days to confirm otherwise, you will continue with the repayment plan that you have put to them.
Keep a copy of the letter (send it recorded delivery) and call them to say you've sent it. If they then icall you for immediate payment etc, refer them to your letter and say that you specifically requested an alternative suggestion, should the one you put to them was not sufficient.
Good Luck. |

They may be ignoring you or the letter to you may be held up in the post. Councils work extremely slowly. Is there a complaints department? |
