People in prison don't get tax rebates because they did illegal things, why should people who are living here illegally be treated any better? I already pay for their healthcare and probably their food stamps/WIC/welfare anyway. |

The whole concept of a "rebate" is getting a partial refund following a purchase. Legal or illegal, no one who doesn't pay taxes should get a "rebate". Giving taxpayer money to people who don't pay taxes is called "welfare". |

but the way you asked that was a very "loaded" question....
(who would disagree with you, considering how you asked the question?)
anyways, some argue that even though they ARE here illegally, some illegal immigrants have tax payer identification numbers, which allows them to work AND pay taxes. so, the argument on their side is that if they're paying taxes, shouldn't they get rebates too?
all that said, i do agree with you that they should not get rebates under any circumstances, but, i can see where the other side is coming from.
