Someone told my friend they were able to check on their rebate yesterday or today on some website (obviously not the irs website) and find out exactly when they'd get theirs and exactly how much it was. I know the IRS is working on a wheres my rebate thing but it is not up and running now. Has anyone heard of another site doing this? I think I would have heard of it, if there was. I have seen nothing like this.

Are you sure they didn't get the info on their tax refund and not the rebate that way? The IRS has a "where's my refund" area, but don't have a "where's my rebate" are finished yet. |

Here's the schedule on the IRS site http://www.irs. gov/irs/article/0,,id=180250,00.html - some will be out a couple days ahead of this schedule. There is no site to check yours individually.

I saw one yesterday someone linked to from here. It was simply a schedule though, not how much you'll get. It also wasn't updated, but was still under the old schedule. Unfortunately I can't find the link anymore so perhaps someone can. On the irs page, which took me a couple times to get it to work properly there is a link to check when it will come. But not how much it will be. |

Don't listen to "someone told me" or "a friend heard" or whatever.
The only thing that MATTERS is that YOU filed a 2007 Income Tax Return. PERIOD.
It does NOT matter HOW you filed, only that you filed.
If you filed your return and got a tax refund via DIRECT DEPOSIT to your bank account, then your REBATE CHECK will be direct deposited to your bank account. The TIMING of the deposit or check will be based on the LAST TWO digits of your SSN. SO if the last two digits of your SSN ar 01 thru 09, you will get yours very soon if not already sent.
That is ALL anybody needs to know. 99..9% of EVERYTHING else is rumor, fluff, bs, lies, innuendo, false reports, speculation and garbage, and the other .1% simply isn't true.
CHILL OUT. IT WILL GET THERE. |

Someone is blowing smoke from a dark and stinky place. The IRS is the ONLY agency involved in paying the rebates and is the ONLY agency that could post that information. They have chosen not to so there's no way to determine exactly when you'll get yours. |
