You've had your identity stolen. First thing you need to do is contact the IRS and let them know that your identity has been stolen. Contact the credit bureaus and let them know the same thing. They will need to put a freeze on your credit and you can check to see if this individual has taken out any loans in your name. Contact the Social Security Administration. Contact the FBI. |

Contact the Social Security Administration and report this. Since you are on disability they should institute an investigation on your behalf. Don't wait... call as soon as possible.
You can conduct your Social Security business 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays, by calling their toll-free number, 1-800-772-1213. You can speak to a representative from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on business days. |

As to the IRS issue, if the agent assigned to your case won't listen to what you're saying, call the TaxPayer Advocate office at 1-877-777-4778. The purpose of that group is to assist people to resolve IRS issues when they haven't been able to do so through normal channels.
If you live near the Illinois-Missouri border, the agent working on your case could well believe that you're making the commute, and that it really is you working in this other job. If you live in eastern Illinois, that would not make sense. The taxpayer advocate should be able to work with you to get this straightened out.
But you also need to contact the police and the major credit bureaus to report that your identity has been stolen.

I am from IL as well, not sure if you are in Cook County but if you are you need to go to the daley center and file paper work and charges, who ever is doing this stole your identity and that is fraud you can have them charged criminally and you can file a civil suit (monetary damages) against them for yourself |
