Stimulus Check Question...?
Has anyone gotten their stimulus checks yet? My last 2 digits are 62, and I haven't gotten mine yet. I filed my taxes in Janurary and a friend of mine whose last 2 digits are 63 has already gotten his check.

i am in the 2nd group to receive dd
(between 21 and 50). the wheres my stimulus site wasnt working for me until today. this morning it said due to be deposited on may 9th and to call if not in the account by may 14th. i tried it again this evening, thinking it was too good to be true, and it said the same thing. yay! i also tried with my hubbys ssn and it said the same thing, we filed jointly. so hoping its accurate.
i filed in january online with hr block. paid the fees up front so had my refund direct deposited straight into my checking.

There are a number of odd situations going on?? My last ssn ends in 11, and I filed in January via direct deposit; however, I have not yet received my stimulus check. After reading the IRS site "Where's My Stimulus Payment", it makes the statement that if you had preparation or filing fees deducted from your return, then you will be receiving your stimulus via snail mail...even if you direct deposited your return. I could accept this except for the fact that 2 co-workers and a friend have received their stimulus payment already and they used turbotax to file...just like me? I tried using the "where's my stimulus check" tool, to no avail and there is no contact address, e-mail or phone for questions. As a disclaimer, the fed asks that we give all payments two weeks from projected date of issue to post to your account. So guess there's not much we can do at this point but wait and hope????

If filing or preparation fees were deducted from your 2007 Refund or you received a rapid refund, you will be receiving a check instead of a direct deposit. Please see the Paper Check section of the Payment Schedule.

This is clipped directly from the IRS website....:(

paper check takes longer
we just got ours this mourning direct deposit but we filed the 3rd week in January thats why we were first on the list

If you requested direct deposit on your 2007 return your Stimulus Rebate will be transfered May 9th. If you didn't request direct deposit a check will be mailed June 20th. You can check the IRS web site at www.irs.gov to confirm my answer.
