Has anyone received the so called letter saying that you will be receiving an amount, how much, and when to expect it? I received the first one saying that I may qualify but not the second one as of yet. According to the calculator on the IRS page I should be getting the stimulus payment. I guess I'm just curious if they sent out the second letters or not. Thanks in advance for any answers on this....

Yep, I got a second letter. But it did not say a date nor an amount just up to amounts. Also...if your getting a refund for 4-28 it wont process until monday nite. Atleast thats what my bank told me! Good Luck! |

Im wondering the same thing. 8 million people are supposed to get them TODAY (April 28th) through direct deposit, but I checked my bank and it isnt there. So Im wondering when Im supposed to get ours. We filed REALLY early so I thought that we'd be getting it today. Good Morning America is talking about it right now but they arent giving me a time table. I guess this isnt really an answer ... but at least you know you're not alone! |

We got the first letter. Never did get the second. And I see in the responses posted above that payments start on the 2nd. Not true. First ones are going out today. My daughter, who's SSN ends in 11, hasn't gotten hers yet. Seems to me she'll have it in her bank account tomorrow morning.
Pres Bush said on Friday the stimulus checks would be done on Monday ... so ... I'm guessing that's what he meant - that the Direct Deposits would be done Monday... My husband and I are supposed to get ours next Monday... (originally it was the 9th, but with the bumped up disbursal of monies, it moved us up a week.

yes, i got one of those letters a few weeks ago, as did my boyfriend. we really dont know if we getting anything, or not. we are just going to wait and see. i have heard so many different things about them, that i just decided to wait and see. i did get a e-mail from my bf's mom tho, saying when people will get theirs if the yeven get one. it all depends on the last couple numbers of your social security number, as to when people will get them. i got the first letter, but not the 2nd letter yet. |

The first set of payments is supposed to go out on May 2nd, the second on May 9th, and the third on May 16th. The order you get it is determined by the last two digits of your social security number, not by when you filed. I believe 00-20 is the 2nd, 21-60 I think is the 9th, and 61-99 is the 16th. |
