As the irs.gov website states I should have received my check in my bank account on 5/2/2008 since I did direct deposit with my state and federal income taxes. I still have not received my check. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do? |

if you used a tax service for your return and fees taken out for it then you will get a paper check in the mail |

You can report it to them, the IRS, after 14 days (May 16 if you were supposed to receive it May 2). |

Is the last 2 digits of your social security number ends in '00' to '20' then the direct deposit should have been done on May 2, 2008. Otherwise see the source below. |

yes lots of folks are having that same problem too,
no nothing you can do but wait,the irs says give it 2 weeks from the date scheduled if you don't get the rebate by then call them but not before then.so probaly by the 16th which is 2 weeks from the 2nd. that really sucks.

The Internal Revenue Service said Tuesday that some checks will be direct-deposited or mailed a week earlier than anticipated but others will arrive as originally scheduled.
"Taxpayers should expect to get their checks on the date posted on the IRS schedule on the (IRS) Web site," IRS regional spokesman Eric Erickson said Tuesday. IRS schedule of payment for stimulus checks
If it arrives or is deposited a week early, Erickson said, it would just be an unexpected surprise.
Why? Erickson said all the checks are being randomly processed through two systems.
One system is one the IRS has been using for years and the other system is the new, efficient system that the IRS will eventually use to process all checks.
Erickson said the processing of each taxpayer's check will depend on which system it goes through.
He added that the checks being processed through the newer, more efficient system would go out earlier. |
