Well, we got our letter. The letter says we should get our paper check by the 23rd, but "where's my stimulus payment" says scheduled to be MAILED on the 23rd.
Anyone else have that situation previously? What happened for you?

The wording on the letter is poor. It will be mailed by the 23rd, so you should have it sometime the following week. |

I have no idea why people are still posting the schedule on these questions! It's like they think those who ask people about their checks being received think we are all dumb enough that we haven't gone to the IRS site to see when they are to be mailed! I am in the same boat as you. I am hoping it gets here before monday or tuesday but I am not holding my breath. The wording is all wrong and confusing 'by' and 'on' are two seperate interpretations that iritate me. |

Have heard alot of different stories...you should get it around that time..maybe a few days earlier, maybe that day, or a couple days after! Doesn't seem to make a ton of sense! |

My letter (CP1378) states "you can expect your payment by 05/23/2008" and the IRS website states mailed 05/23/2008. So guess the best bet is to check the mail box daily, so no one steals it. Maybe they already mail them. |

I got a letter stating that I should receive it by the 23rd and the website states that It will be mailed out on the 23rd. I went on to the website and typed in my SS# for that information. I am checking my mail every day cause my mother received hers on Saturday her last 2 of her SS# is 07 and mine is 11 so I am sure they are on there way. Mind you they accidentally delivered my mothers check to the wrong address and that individual returned it to her. |
