Figure on the scheduled mailing date of June 20. Some, but not all, of the checks are going out early - you might be lucky and be one of the early ones. |

Your check should be mailed out no later than June 20th...and to the first answerer? It is called an economic stimulus for a reason; lots of people are pretty broke right now and the reason the stimulus was even approved is because the government understands that America is broke. Grow up you yuppie. |

From what my friends told me only those whose last 2 digits were in the low number bracket got their money early - everyone else I know received theirs on the date according to the IRS stimulus chart (check out the IRS.gov site).
It's coming soon - your family will have everything they need.
To Bran...I hope that your comment was made to keep the conversation "interesting".
I would just like to know Bran... do you work? pay rent? buy metro cards/transit passes/pay for gas to get to work? how about Try to buy food?
How about pay for SATs, AP tests, ACTs, college applications?
I have a decent salary & there are times when I have to pay rent, something for school, internet (my daughter needs it for her education so that one day she'll have a fantastic job with an excellent salary & not have to worry about finances) in the same week.
Some months I can only afford to spend $100 on food.
So you either need to get more independent responsibility for yourself before you judge others or be mindful of how you keep the conversation "interesting" just because you may be better off financially. |

Hate to break it to you. If you're relying on the government hand-outs to buy your kids essentials like clothing, you're going to be fairly screwed in a couple of years, when they're taller.
Get a job?
To the person who replied ("euphoric")... this isn't to bring an advantage to people struggling. It's intended for people to PUMP MONEY BACK INTO THE ECONOMY, and it's a failure of an idea, because the majority of people receiving money will probably be using it to pay off debt or will put it into their savings. Besides, the economy has a natural ebb and flow without the government having to tax all Americans and then give handouts to control it.
Btw, I'm not even CLOSE to being a yuppie. I just have a realistic understanding of what an economic stimulus plan really means for America. If you agree with a fiscally socialist plan, go right ahead. Just don't make assumptions about me.
To everyone else- I'm sorry for believing in parents working and supporting their children without relying on the government as a financial crutch. I guess that makes me a heartless monster. |
