I have been checking the IRS website and it said mine was scheduled to come out by May 30th, than I heard that the checks were coming out earlier than expected. My neighbor recieved her check yesterday, May 20, and her last two #s are 58, and then another neighbor whose social ends in 75 got theirs yesterday as well. My social is 25 so does anyone know why I haven't recieved my check before my neighbor's recieved theirs??? Any info would be great!!!

The IRS has multiple computer systems. One system is new, handles only very simple returns and can issue refunds on any day of the week. The older system handles all types of returns and only issues checks on Friday. |

I agree with you, for those of you ppl that don't have an answer, just don't waste our times.
My last 2 digits are 20 and some around me have received their checks via mail with higher numbers than mines, so I don't know, I heard some were getting theirs a week early, dispite what some say, my mail lady said she started delivering stimulus checks a couple of weeks ago not on the 16th. hope this helps, good luck |

They can't send out 130 million payments all on the same day.
SOME, not all, are going out earlier than the schedule - there doesn't seem to be any pattern to what goes out early. Figure on getting yours according to the schedule. If it comes early, great! |

Don't understand that?? My mom got her's yesterday and her's is 07 but sister still hasn't received her's and it's 04?? We are in the 60's...had fee's taken so I have been really bummed that we have to wait til end of June. Good to hear that higher numbers are coming through. |

Could depend on whether theirs was direct deposited vs being mailed. Also, think about how many checks are being sent? The government may not be literally mailing it in ssn order. If you don't have it within 2 weeks after May 30th that is when I would start to worry. |

if you check the IRS website, they have the approximately date, in some case will be earlier but this always follow the order in the numbers, probably your check is in the way, enjoy your extra money....good luck. |

I am just as curious. I am in the 26 to 38 range and my check is scheduled to be mailed on 6/6. I don't degrudge anybody who is getting their paper checks with a higher ss #, but it really isn't fair.
I filed in January and didn't have a problem with my tax form and received my direct deposit, but of course, I had my fees taken out and IRS decided to mail checks to people who did that.
I am really curious, whether the people that are receiving their paper checks ahead of time asked for a paper check or did they use TT or H&R.
The IRS seems to be sending the checks out randomly, not according to schedule. They don't want us to call, so they put out a list and when you do call, they quote the date from the mailing schedule. It's hogwash.
I am beginning to think that they are going on the type of form that was filed for your taxes, processing the simple forms first and then single people with no dependents. It could also be that they are going alphabetical or by state. I haven't seen to many people on this site posting that they received their check in the mail that live in New York.
Right now it is a guessing game. The IRS site also has a message now that says that if you call, the person you talk to won't have more information than what they have on their website.
Good luck to everyone. Hopefully it will be soon for everyone, but with the IRS I won't hold my breath. The only thing they are quick at doing is collecting money if you owe them. That they will do, even if it is through a third-party.
It also looks as if the only thing going out ahead of schedule might be the 2nd notice. Have you received one of those yet? I haven't and I can't get info on their site either.
I also tried posting a question on this site which consisted of the following questions, and I only got 4 answers.
I wanted to know how many people from the ones that did receive their check, used turbo tax or H&R and had fees taken out.
I also wanted to know how many people received their 2nd notice and/or check earlier than the date on the paper check schedule.
Also I wanted to know what state and if they thought it might be going alphabetically now. I think that is the way they did a rebate quite a few years back.

My ss# is the 99, therefore I am at the bottom of the pile. I was suppose to get mines May 16th through direct deposit and still have not received. I went to the IRS website and it said that if you had filing fees deducted from your 2007 tax return or received rapid refund, you will get a paper refund. Now I have to wait until July 11th, according to the IRS schedule. |

It depends on the last two digits of your SS# and also, whether or not you have chosen direct deposit. You can look at the website and see approximately which date you can expect to have it. |

I have heard that it has alot to do with were you live and I have also heard that they are not going by the last 2 digits they are going in alphabetical order. Who knows all I know is that mine are 11 and I am still waiting. |
