I too filed and was accepted on Jan 20th, and turbo tax said I would receive my refund on Jan 30th; this morning when I checked the refund status on irs.gov it said it was deposited on the 23rd and should be there by today, Jan 28th... of course this was a mess up because it's not there and all the people on here are having the same issue...
MY QUESTION IS...has anyone checked SBBTRAL.COM to see if they have received your refund first?... they are the ones who will be sending the direct deposits to the bank, when they receive them from the irs..
SBBTRAL.COM has not received my refund yet, so are they gonna have it by Friday the 30th to give to me???? |

I had message that showed yesterday, that my tax refund was scheduled to be deposited on January 28, 2009. Mine was deposited this morning! So I think it may depends on the bank, not sure. It was nice though! |

IRS made an error....they are not making deposits until 1/30/09. My status went from was deposited on 1/23/09 back to "you have made a mistake" status...I believe the IRS is trying to correct their error. Was told by H and R block rep. that the IRS sent out an email to tax preparer services like H and R block stating that they made an error in the Where is my refund status....money was not direct deposited on 1/23/09. |

I thought the same thing. I think it will show up on Friday morning is my guess. I have never see a direct deposit go in on any other day but a friday. |

If you used Turbotax and are having the fees withdrawn from your refund, you can check SBBT.com website to check to see if they have your refund. But if no, most likely it will be deposited on Friday. |

The irs made a mistake yesterday when they said direct deposit posted on the 23rd the meant the 30th you should have you refund this friday depending on how fast your bank process refunds i just checked my bank and i have my deposit pending to be posted to my account this friday. |

not to argue here, but my payroll check gets deposited every wednesday night..direct deposit works any day of the week...from what i can tell though..to answer the question...jan30th is the answer. |

You aren't alone. Many people are experiencing the same issue. My bank does not show a deposit and i've been on hold with the IRS for 46 mins and have not yet reached a live person yet. |

I called my bank and they said it was an irs error, that the money will in fact be deposited on friday the 30th. This falls in line with the first "cycle date" of disbursment for refunds, which is on the 30th. They disburse on fridays, but i've heard sometimes it doesn't show up til pm. |

Same message and I am pissed off. Why couldn't they leave well enough alone. No they have to get all this crap going this morning. Now we don't know when the refund is coming or even where it is for that matter. Everything is always a hassle. Please leave updates if you get through to the IRS..........Thanks |

I got the same message. However, I didn't e-file my taxes until Jan 22nd. According to the irs efile calendar, my refund should not be deposited until the 30th. I am thinking that this is an irs error. I don't see how the irs can deposit my refund the day after I filed my taxes. I would check what date you filed your taxes and then check the irs refund calendar here:
