okay, found the answer to the mystery...
this check was my brother's....due to his income tax refund from 07 was direct deposit into my account, his relief check goes into this one too.... heheh sorry for all the mess and confusions....and thanks for all those who answers;) |

Are you sure that's your stimulus payment, not your refund? Not everyone gets the maximum $1200 for a married couple, you only get that if your income tax for 2007 was at least that much, but the minimum for an eligible couple is $600 plus $300 for each dependent child under age 17, so that doesn't sound right for the stimulus payment. And if you made anywhere near $80K you'd have most likely paid at least $1200 income tax unless you had huge deductions and credits, so would more likely be eligible for the maximum $1500.. |

If you did not file a joint return, and you owed no income taxes, your rebate would be $300 for the taxpayer and $300 for the child under age 17. |

I also received a direct deposit. I am a single mom with one child and got 300.00. This isn't what any of the information published said. I was under the impression it should have been 600.00. Go figure, I try to call IRS to ask...cannot get ahold of a real person. I guess I'll just be thankful I got anything. |

The ones of you who have recieved your tax relief refund...has it been direct deposit or paper check. What were the last two #'s of your social. Thats what they are supposed to be going by. I'm wondering how soon I'll get mine. I don't think the IRS web site is accurate anymore sence they are running ahad of time. |

It's your stimulus check from the government. You get your checks depending on your last two digits of your social security number. Your tax refund will be a different check, why you only got 600.00 may depend on how you filed your taxes. |

I think this check isn't worth the stress. My ss# ends in 14 and I got nothing as of today may 2nd. When I went to the web site and checked where's my refund the same old error came up..and better yet this comes up in small print: Remember, in order to qualify for the Stimulus Payment, you
must have filed your 2007 tax return more than 6 weeks ago. What's that about? |

My grandma received a check for $300 the end of April and just got another check in the mail yesterday for $300 +
I guess apparently they are breaking up the checks into 2 seperate ones if you don't have the direct deposit..

No, married COUPLES get 600.00 not each married person. You should, however have gotten an additional 300 for your child (if you counted the child on your taxes this year....
go to irs . gov and find the calculator.
Also, yes, they started the direct deposits a little early they were not supposed to hit until Firday. |

It sounds more like your regular tax refund. Supposedly checks for the rebate aren't hitting mail boxes until May 9th. |
