assuming you qualify for refund (which i sure do this year!!), would you be refunded for money spent on Medicaid + Social security? Or is it just Federal withholdings that you get refunded on? |

Your federal and state taxes are what runs the government. Social Security and medicare is a retirement program.
You all must be very young, because I paid into Social Security for 33 years and had to retire early due to disability. I sure am glad that it is there and that I paid into it for so long. I can survive on it. I may not live long enough to collect everything that i paid into it, so I guess that I'll just have to pass my share that i paid on to you. Enjoy my part someday. |

No. You never get a refund of medicare of Social security.
Hopefully when you are old, there will still be enough money left to pay for your benefits. |

No, you're paying into Social Security under the pretense that when you qualify, you will receive a Social Security check.
Unfortunately, the way it looks now there won't be anything left . |

You don't get the ss or medicare taxes refunded to you. You might get some or all of the federal income tax withholding. |

NO. Only thing you can get back would be STATE AND FEDERAL. It sucks but thats the way it is. You pay loads in but don't never get anything back close to what you paid in. |
