I am having the same problem. I just talked to my mom, who works for H&R block, and she said that, the IRS told H&R block that due to the fact that so many people didn't put the right amount for what they got from the stimulus package last year, they have to double check everyone who is getting something from the stimulus this year. The IRS is telling people who call them, that they will get their DD by next friday, BUT they told H&R block that everything will be worked out with in the next 72 hours, and that all the people who haven't received their DD yet, will get it by the end of Monday, H&R block is going with this, and will be telling any customers the same. So I'd be looking for it on or before Monday.
Also this has nothing to do with H&R block, their software, will not let them input the wrong information about what you got last year for stimulus, I know this because when my mom did ours, we didn't know the right amount, and it wouldn't except it, we had to go home and find out how much we got, just to efile. If your going to point fingers point them at the IRS for not specifying that the exact amount is needed to ensure everything would go smoothlyy. |

I just hung up with the IRS, the told me my money should be DD today and if it wasnt to contact my preparer which I did **I hate HR Block** Anyway they said to give it until the end of the day!! I am sick of waiting, and if its not here by the end of today Im going to be pissed! |

It's all f**cked up at this point.
Say you could have gotten $600 in stimulus last year, but you did not make enough money and you only got $400, then you might be able to get the other $200 this year. But the problem is that when people are doing their taxes they don't remember what they got last year and put in the wrong amount.
This is messing up the IRS computing and processing of refunds. They will check their records to find out what each taxpayer got last year and compute if they are entitled to more stimulus from last year. But may delay everyone's refund. It is not a Turbo-Tax problem or an H&R block problem. You will just have to wait a longer than you expected. |

I think im about fed up with this tax refund crap as everyone else is...i have been on the phone all day...hrblock messed up my account number for direct deposit anyway i got all that fixed after 2 days and its suppose to be in my account today HSBC or whatever that bank is that ur taxes go to first before you bank if u use hrblock they told me they had deposited my refund already. but as of right now its not in there or pending..shouldnt it at least be pending?
I hope everyone else gets their money soon b/c im pretty stressed over this bills bills and more bills! |

There are all kinds of problems today - lots of people (including me) not getting their refunds. Even people who call the IRS are getting conflicting reports. You can keep checking your bank, but most likely it will be next Friday. |

just got off the phone with an IRS csr and was told that refunds are being delayed because of the Economic Stimulus Plan from last year. Those that were expecting a deposit today(and didnt get it) will not get it until next Friday. If you checked wrong info about the ECR, that delayed it.
I personally didnt get a rebate last year and checked no, so that delayed my money.

I am in the same boat that you are. I checked my account online 4 dozen times or more today. I was expecting the money to buy a van that a man is holding for me, and numerous other things. I have two bills that will hit my check acct tomorrow, and now the $$ will not even be there! It really ticks me off. Anywho...I called the IRS pplz and supposedly the stimulus mess from last year is affecting this whole tax rebate thing. For the ones of us that were supposed to recieve it today and didnt, we will recieve it next Friday. Than again...we ARE talking about this FAB government that we have leading the failing economy...lol |
