Forget chit-fund, invest in ELSS

sorry do not know what the chit is hopefully you are saving money as well ------- in this country donating money to charity is tax deductable but you are only saving the small amount of tax you pay if you are on a lower income bracket and you are giving away the rest--not really a tax saving. However you can ask your employer to take out extra tax so at the end of the year you have a refund. Gives you an incentive to keep your affairs up to date

No you can't save tax.

For tax saving better invest in ulips, mutual funds and govt securities which promises better returns over a longer period.

N.J.Reddy
Payment to monthly chit installments are your personal savings. But it dose not come under tax benefits. On the other hand you have to show the chit dividend income as your income in Income Tax returns.

If you are interested to know about Tax savings, then click on the below web link. The tax savings are deductions u/s 80C.

You cannot save tax through any Chit Fund. You can invest in ELSS Mutual Funds to get tax benefit. The amount invested is locked for a minimum of three years.

Check the report card of Value Research online to decide about investing in Tax Saving Funds

Give a good thought to this advice.
SIP i.e, (systematic invest plans) are monthly investment plans of mutual funds. Almost all mutual funds provide SIP.
But not all mutual fund comes under tax-savings.
ELSS (equity linked saving schemes) mutual funds comes under saving schemes. It has all the properties of an tax saving instrument. You can say that at present it is the best saving scheme right now with highest return.
Start an monthly sip in any ELSS scheme and enjoy the benefits of equity mutual funds.
Try to contact some online advisor's to help you with your investments. http://www.godmind.co.in
They are different from other broker or distributor of MF, in the sense that they provide better info and also help you invest and track your investment.
Also try out e-investing with
