The employer I work for now has already given me my W-2 form...?
but I'm still waiting to get 2 other forms from other employers. How long should I have to wait before I recieve those? I'm going to get in contact with them but how long should it take? My husband is military so he's already to go file but we're waiting on these other forms!
Additional Details
One W-2 will be going to my mom's address and I sent a letter to the other place about my change of address because I did move

They are required to either hand them to you OR place them in the mail by Jan 31st. (Oddly, the law does not require that they be postmarked by Jan 31, only be placed in the mail.) The IRS does not consider them late until Feb 15th, however,as that's the earliest date that they will take missing W-2 complaints.

If you're waiting on 2 other W-2 forms, then they're required to send them out no later than tomorrow. You should receive them within a week after that. BUT ... if you're waiting on other forms (like 1099's and such), then they can wait 'til the middle or end of February to send them out if they so choose. I'm waiting on a 1099 form and it's driving me crazy ... because my husband got his military W-2 and I'm ready to file as well. I'd give it another week or so before you start calling on W-2's ... but if it's anything else, I'd go ahead and call just to get an estimated time. Good luck.

They are required to have them in the mail by tomorrow, so it shouldn't be much longer. Good luck

If by Jan 31st you have not received your W2, call the employer and ask them if they have been sent. If by Feb 15th you have not received it, call the Internal Revenue Service and file a W2 complaint. They wil take a report and send you a form that you can use as a subsitute, you will need your last paycheck stub when you call, along with the name, address and phone# of the employer and what dates you worked for them
Call 1-800-829-1040

They have to send them out by Jan. 31, 2008. So, depending on the mail service, you should get them by Feb. 5.

It is the law that employers must send out your W-2 by the last day of January. So I am sure that you can expect your W-2 soon.

One thing to make sure of is that you didn't move. If you moved and did not notify your past employers of your new address then there is a good chance that your W-2 went to the wrong addrses.

The deadline for the companies to mail them out is the last day of January I believe, or maybe February 1, but if they are not postmarked by that date they can get in trouble for it.
