You multiply the amount by 1.06 (1.00 is for the amount and .06 for the sales tax. Together they come out to be 1.06).

multiply by .06 and then add that to the price or mulituply by 1.06 and it gives you the final price, less steps that way :)

get a calculator and take something... the amount, say $10, and then type in the ten on the calculator and click times, * then type 1.06 and = and that will add 6% to your something

whatever the amount is ...and multiply by 6 then moved the decimal two spaces to the left...or you can round off the amount like...5.99 6 x 6 = 36=.36 cent tax ESTIMATE
