mi mum had 2 look afta mi grandma who had terminal cancer,she had 2 b bi her side 24/7 n she had 2 quit her job 2 do that and my mum couldn't look after me or my siblings.
she dusnt even get an hours worth wages in a hole dai! And child benfetis are barely enough to pay for the toothpaste we use in a day! plus we had individual tutors.
My mum didn't really mind looking after my grandma, but she needs money 2 keep food on d table somehow and keep us educated.
2 b realistic, our government won't do anything about it.

You certainly do. I worked as a support worker a few years back in Hemel Hempstead, to a group of severely mentally disabled adults, and I got paid a pittance for my efforts as did the others. I hope you eventually get what you deserve! Have a great weekend !

My other half manages a care home for people with learning difficulties. If you think that this means people that are a bit slow on the uptake...think again. It's the new PC word for people with virtually no ability to fend for themselves. They frequently wet themselves...and worse!
For this highly unpleasant work they get paid a pittance and, as far as I'm concerned, yes they should get a healthy pay rise. |

My better half does this and i have the utmost respect for anyone who does this work. While i know it can be fun and enjoyable for the most part but i know it has its draw backs.
She goes out to work first thing and i dont see her till late, and while she gets good money coming in, she has to work so many hours and seven days a week to get it. Poor thing she is shattered when she gets home.
She would love to be able to work less hours, but the pay per job is crap. The other week she worked 86 hours, due in part of the company being short staffed, and really the pay is terrible for the work that has to be done |
