If you pay for the full 12 months and only use your tv for six months then you can get a refund for the period you're not using it for. Basically whenever you stop using it, phone them on 0844 800 6790 and state that you have a 12 month licence but are no longer using it and they'll send you out a refund form. |

pay now as by two months time it could go up again , so you gain ten, you still have a end total to buy, mind you the present rate of programmes, more than 70% are repeats, so my way of thinking they should give you 70% back , biggist con out-------t/v-sky total cost-£135-£360--£495 for what , if your sport mad or old films and repeats you may think its worth it |

Well it is Christmas time and more money is needed.for all sorts of things.... If you have the money now and can afford it in one lump then do it ...If it is a bit of a struggle at the moment, go for 6 months and spread it out a bit... Still costs £135. |

bin your tv.. or at least the license fee.. what they dont tell you is that you do not have to allow the tv license agents into your house without a warrant and most magistrates will not grant them.
they can send you letters etc and just return them.
also, if you have a tv you CAN watch dvd videos etc without a license as long as it is detuned from the channels for tv |

The licence runs for a year from the time you buy it, so you are not paying £22.50 a month for six months.
Find more information here about ways to pay for your TV licence:

if you find that £135 is a lot of money for TV licence go to phone them up in bristol and set up a direct debit scheme they will take so much a month from your bank and you havent got to worry like being fined. |

If you can afford it - pay it and be done with it. If not - direct debit stops you worrying about being late with the bill. |

What is a tv license? That isn't much money. I am wondering what you are talking about in this question. |
