UK-council tax. If paying by direct debit, is it Jan and Feb that i do not pay or feb and march?
Can't check on bank statement as they messed up last year and i had to make 12 payments. Thanks.

ChocLover
Feb and March but if you make payments in those months then they get taken off next year's bill so you don't have to pay so much.
I pay mine weekly and am so far ahead that I can expect about £300 off next year's bill so far!

Feb and March, if you are up to date, and thank you for reminding me!!!
Happy New Year.

Zealander
Council tax is usually paid over a ten month period commencing April. Therefore, if you are up-to-date with your DD, then you are correct in saying that you will pay nothing for Feb & Mar.

Ignore Chris and his comment of paying in 12 monthly instalments. Council tax is paid in 10 monthly instalments. Feb and March have already been included in previous instalments so you'll have a bit to spend on yourself!!

When paying by direct debit, you always pay over 12 months, making the monthly payments less.
