After countless hours online alot of research I hope this information will help some of the 1/26 filers who are still waiting for their refunds. Those of us with the 1121 code "Delay in Processing" were infact kicked out of the system because of a "glitch". The were all resequenced for review. Each return is being re-entered in to computer system and waiting in "que" to be reviewed. Initially the delay code is 1121. Most returns have recently went to a 8002 delay code. (You get this 8002 code when you input your information on the website and it says "You must have made a mistake", enter the date you filed and how, then you will get the 8002 code. When the return is in that code it is actually being reviewed. It will then go to another code which will be, back to 1121, 1201 or 1301. Most of the others who have received 1201 or 1121 again have been given an updated deposit date. Even though some of them go back to 1121 when you phone the IRS they are told the return was released.

This is only my opinion. Just based on reviewing other forums and following patterns.

I called the IRS today and they said that the people who were supposed to recieve their refunds on 26 Jan, should receive their refunds on the 16th of January. If you did it through H&R block or Turbo Tax you may have to wait another day before their bank can transfer to your account. Hope this helps |

Hi Danielle. Thanks for the updated information. I spoke with 2 IRS representatives yesterday and was told that my return will be deposited this friday 2-16-07. So I hope that it happens. Mine was suppose to be direct deposited on 1-26 along with yours. So, possibly if you contact the IRS they will give you the same information. I was told that the IRS only makes direct deposits on fridays. Good Luck to everyone and me too!!!! |

i had the same problem called the irs they said it should be in tomorrow well i sure hope so cause i been waiting for over a month my pet was poisoned and had to be put to sleep i would really like to get my kids another pet if the irs doesent mind giving me my money after all the lies i got this last month i cant believe the money will be deposited tomorrow i will just have to wait and see |

I filed my return on 1/19 and was supposed to get the refund on 2/2. The refund wasn't deposited on 2/2. I called the IRS and was told everything under the sun (computer glitch caused some returns to not be processed correctly and they are holding the entire batch, they randomly selected my return for a review (not an audit), give it 3-6 weeks, etc). I finally went in to an IRS office and was told that on 2/10 my return was assigned to a rep (but they could not tell who it was, but that no notices had gone out). As of today, they told me that no notices have gone out, but it is still in limbo status. Here's what I think. They are backed up for some reason (perhaps the forms) and they have to manually review the returns. Those that don't appear suspect are released, but others are held for further information. It's like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Another interesting note, I checked their website and it went from displaying the refund date of 2/2, to the "Your refund is delayed" and the 1121 code. Then, on Monday I was getting the "did you make a mistake - we can't find your return" message until Wednesday. Then suddenly the 1121 message came back. My friend filed his return on 2/3 and he had the same anomily happen to him. Monday, his refund is to be deposited, then it goes to the "Did you make a mistake" message, then today it went back to the refund date. Guess I just need to ride this out and I'll know in a few months how this story ends. |

I am still getting 1211 but hopefully it will change soon!! Have you heard anything about a deposit target date??
I called and got a definte date of 2/16!!!! She said if it's not in by Mon to give them a call haha that's not a response I've gotten from them yet.

Ok this is great information, but when you say to imput your information on the website and get the code 8002 , are you saying on the Wheres my refund page we will enter information once we see code 8002? or that we can go somewhere and enter information to get the code 8002?
I haven't called since Monday and was told it shouldn't be any later than 23rd but still show the 1121 code.
Thanks for your help and if you can answer this I will appreciate it. I will be looking for added comments from you on this question.

I just went from the 1121 code to a 9001 and I have a different ext. number to call now. The ext. is 732. Apparently many others received this same thing yesterday as noted in Turbo Tax's forums. Same old same old though. The IRS has no clue what code 9001 is. |

I called yesterday morning andthey told me my deposit date is 2/16. She also said that it should be no later than 2/23. That my review was over. I logged in this morning and I have ref code 1201. So hopefully your tight. I hope it is in their by Monday. Good Luck all us 1/26 people. Next year I will file alittle bit later, after Feb 1st. |

I just got off the phone with the local IRS office and you are so right ! - They told me my return was basically cancelled out of the system and they do not know why - This would go right along with your info about the returns getting "kicked" out of the system-They are researching my specific return and are to call me tomorrow - My return was accepted on 1-20-07 and this is still a mess ! If she has to reenter the info for me it could take another 2 weeks for me to get my money - GOOD LUCK TO ALL |

I also called the irs today after reading from other users on the turbo tax website support area that they were calling and getting a refund date of Friday. Well I called and they told me that I will receive my refund on Friday. They actually told me that It was Stopped for review. And now it has been released. I was shocked that they gave me that answer. Who knows it may something they all are saying. I really hope not!!! The website still says delay and so does the phone. I guess we will see on Friday. |
