You can apply but not sure if you'd be entitled to anything. Give the benefots office a call and they'll tell you over the phone xx |

If you are unemployed and otherwise qualified, you can claim unemployment for yourself. That your wife is working and that you have a child have nothing to do with it. It is possible that your wife might also qualify for a partial benefit, but that is much less likely. |

To be eligible for benefits you must have worked in the past year and be ready, willing and able to work NOW.
The only way to know for sure is to apply. The worst they can say is no. |

yes, YOU are unemployed so YOU can get unemployment benefits. Go talk to your local office...they are very helpful and will start your claim immediately. Remember...if they don't ask, don't tell. In other words, don't volunteer any unneccessary information. |
