This is a huge project that was dumped on IRS by Congress in early Feb., right when they were at their busiest processing 2007 tax returns. Considering everything, I'm amazed they were able to gear-up this quickly. |

Wow alot of people have some attitudes today. But I think if they stop changing the proceedures everyone would be fine. 1st it is this way, then it is that way, now only if you filed on the 3rd wed of the month. give me a break. And for all the people that keeps saying "check the website" it keeps changing and they don't update it when other websites give different info. They should have never said anything was coming early. This shows how much people don't have extra cash like before.
I was supposed to get mine this week, now I need to wait until the middle of June. |

WOW that is crazy ! my daughters bf got his april 29th and I was like dang neither me nor my fiance have gotten ours yet. my last digits are 17 , so i figured Id have mine by now cuz her bf ends in 19 so yea so true. Its very discouraging specially when we all need it. The old saying where the goverment is concerned, "hurry up and wait" so yeah we are all playing this waiting game and I just talked to the mailman and he said they arent mailing out any checks til May 16 and someone else told me May 9 so geeeeeeeeez people,,,, we are being misled and yea it sucks!!!!!!! anyways, good luck to all !! hope we all get our $$$ soon!!! |

Why freak out? enjoy the money that you would never have had filling your taxes. this is a bonus , they don't have to give anything to anyone . It is simply to make the economy grow. If it takes a little longer so be it , just be happy that they care enough to give you something. |

The people at the IRS that process checks are not necessarily same ones who do the direct deposits. The people doing the paper checks are not slowing down the people doing the direct deposits.
And do you want them to follow the schedule, which is only an estimate they were providing the public? Or get them all done as efficiently as possible?
But you weren't looking for a well thought out answer in your other question (the "is it fair" one).
So is the bottom line at Wendy's going to go up because of everyone spending their rebate on hamburgers? :) |

well i cant wait to get mine. I used direct deposit and no rapid refund so i should have it by the end of this week. i just want to pay off my credit card (its not late, i just want to boost my credit score) |

If one "needs" the rebate then they are in trouble. It's a way to spread out the spending. If one owes back taxes or taxes because of mistakes, they will take that money out. Some may not get theri money even if they otherwise quailfy. |

Be happy you are even getting anything.
Plus I already got mine because I was smart enough to have direct deposit, so I dont really care about yours.
Well if you had thousands of dollars then you wouldnt be complaining about when you would be getting yours. |

just wait until tax time next year and your stimulus check is considered income and you have to claim it on your taxes...... then you'll really have something to gripe about |
