I think majority rules here.. the answer is No. You can claim your baby next year when you file your 2008 taxes. Best Wishes. |

Unfortunately you cannot because your 2007 taxes and claims are for the year 2007 only. But next year, you can both definitely claim your newborn. Congratulations! :) |

No, but you can claim the doctor expense and milage related to medical care. Also, Rx can be deducted as well if you itemize. |

sorry but there is no way to claim a baby that is born 2008 as 2007.
If your child was born on the last day of the month of 2007 you could have been able to. |

Nope, not in 2007. It is true if a baby;s birth is the 1st day of the new year, he/she can be claimed on the prior years tax return, but not after the 1st.
Congratulation on the birth of your child. |

No |

 |
Only if you falsify the birth certificate and Social Security information, which would cause all kinds of legal problems on top of your attempted tax fraud. |
|

Mr. Opinionated
 |
no, the birth date is of the year you may claim him/her... |
|

bobbyampm

The IRS goes by birth date so the answer is no. If you decided to claim your baby anyway then you'll have to lie on his/her birth date.
You can claim him/her next year and do not misplace his/her social security card; you'll get it in about 3 months and you're going to need this number to claim him/her as a dependent. |

NOPE |

Only if the child was born on 12/31/07 by 11:59p. In fact, if a twin had been born 2 Min's later, he or she would not be allowed. |
