Avoid alcohol, spend as much time in daylight as possible, enjoy your job, listen to music and avoid crap TV, read, eat well, phone friends, sh*ag someone beautiful (and for a long time), have friends round for dinner, drink herbal tea, shower each day, always have clean underwear, go clubbing, find bargains in charity shops, smile at strangers, dance round your living room to Kylie Minogue records, visit museums and art galleries, pay your bills on time, go to a classical music concert, watch Victoria Wood on DVD, and keep reminding yourself there's always someone having a more difficult time than you. |

I think it's pretty fair to say that no-one ever felt good about themselves about doing something that came easily. By doing new challenges, it always feels uncomfortable and often frustrating for a while, but it makes you feel great.
There seems to be a big disillusion that stuff makes you happy. It doesn't, stuff is just crap. As BP said in Fight Club, 'We work our asses off in jobs we hate to buy shitt we don't need'. OK, he was a nut in the film, but theres some truth in that statement.
Only things that are important - Friends, Family, Living Life.
And finally, no-one made themselves any memories watching the TV. |
