What age do you have to start paying taxes?

The second you start having enough income to be taxable, even if that's the second you are born. And conversely, there's no age when you have to stop paying taxes either. As long as you have enough income after deductions and exemptions to have taxable income you have to pay taxes no matter what your age.

It's not your age, it's your amount of income. If a baby had enough income, they'd have to pay taxes.

As soon as you start working, you will also start paying taxes.

Kind of sucks doesn't it?!!!

When ever you start making over a certain amount of money per year Not sure of that amount but Something like $ 600.00 or so check with your tax person.

You pay taxes whenever you start working. Most places won't let you work until you are 15 with a workers permit but as long as you work you'll pay taxes unless you get paid under the table (cash) and neither you or your boss report it.

At birth, if your income is high enough -- and yes, there are infants who pay taxes! There is no age requirement tied to taxable income. Only the amount and source of the income come into play.

When you begin your very first job, the government begins to take out taxes. Call the county representatives for your state to find out. Someone should be able to tell you something. There should be a section in your telephone book for those inquiries.

You have to pay taxes when you have a full time job. My husband worked when he was in high school and he had to do taxes.

When you start earning income you need to start paying the taxes. If you are under 18 and your parents still support you then they can add your income into their taxes but I believe that you still need to file. If you google the IRS rules and regulations you will be able to find out more accurate information, you can also call them.

If you are at the age of 15 and you have a part-time job, be assured that you will start paying taxes then.
