Do you mean pay as little tax as possible?

You sound as if you are somewhere near the beginning of the learning curve.

High-risk low-cost strategy. Deal in cash only. Don't stay too long at any address. Don't reply to any correspondence from H.M. Inland Revenue or Customs and Excise.

Low-risk high-cost strategy. Get yourself an accountant, preferably who has considerable experience.

Tax avoidance is perfectly legal, but tax EVASION is very illegal.

The best way to avoid paying tax is to open up a limited company. You then pay yourself a structure using the minimum salary and dividend amounts, and apart from paying the corporation tax of 10%, the rest of the money is tax-free.

Talk to a reputable accountant about setting up a limited company.

Of course this only works if you are a freelancer, contractor, consultant, or self-employed professional.

All the best!!

Get a good accountant who will make sure you save as much tax as possible. But you must pay what you owe or you may become subject to a tax investigation - and take it from me - it's not a pleasant experience - at all!!

Despite what Hollyblu says, avoidance isn't illegal, though HMG are working on it.
Without knowing what you have in mind, it's difficult to advise.
