What are your plans for your Tax refund/s?
If you don't want to tell you dont have to leave an answer. This is for the serious of people who get refunds. : )
What will you do with your refund, Give to the church? Use for a down payment on a home? Clothes? Food? Electronices? Etc,....?
I am using ours for clothes, a camcorder (I always wanted), and to pay bills up.

We got an 80/20 loan wihen we purchased our home 3 years ago, so our property taxes aren't included in our monthly payments. We use our income tax check to pay our property taxes every year now. NOW, when my husband gets his Profit Sharing Check in March...we have vacation plans!!

I agree with bostonianinmo's statement. If we fill out our W-4 forms correctly (use the tax calculator on www.irs.gov) we wouldn't have to worry about a yearly refund. We would get our money throughout the year. Those extra $$ could be put into an interest bearing account and we would reap the benefits of our hard work, not the government. That being said, I'm going to use my refund to pay my monthly bills (electric, telephone, gas) in full for one year. This will allow me to do what I want with my paychecks, somewhat. If you think about it, the government is giving you a refund because you don't make enough to support yourself/family throughout the year. This is especially true for those who receive the EIC.

What refund? I plan on paying, as usual.

Refunds are for financial neophytes. I'd much rather have MY money in MY hand as long as the law allows me to keep it. If I get a refund, I've screwed up royally.

Keep your money in your hand as long as you can and you won't have to depend upon the IRS to be able to pay your bills on time. That's just irresponsible financial management, IMHO.

Edit: Now you should see my point. All of those folks who are going to buy a car, pay off bills, buy groceries, go to Vegas, or WHATEVER could already have DONE THAT if they had not loaned THEIR money to an ungrateful government for upwards of 16 months!

And they're probably the clueless rubes who give my answer a thumbs down rating! Wander along through the fog, people. If you like being taken advantage of, you have every right to let the government do that to you!

I rest my case!
