Yes, you may get EMA in September if your parents income is under the limit.
But I imagine you mean unemployment benefit or JSA over the holiday, you can't get this, there is normally no JSA for 16 -18 year olds, only some exceptions like if they have a child, normally they have to go to Connexions and get a training allowance when they go on a scheme.
When you are 18+ though if you go to Uni or another type of Higher Education there are a few limited circumstances when you can claim, but the usual route to managing is vacation work, and/or part-time term work.
Just in case you want to know in advance:

As you are still in full time education your parents will still get child benefit for you.
This is £18 a week.
Perhaps you could negotiate with your parents and do your own washing/ironing plus some other jobs in the house for this money.
You can also advertise to be a baby sitter - I did this when I was 16 and looked after a couple of kids all day while their parents were at work.
There are holidays jobs like potato picking (my brother did this every summer) or shop work. |

It's amazing how that's the first question people ask.
Not - how can I get a part time job and earn some money but - how much will the taxpayers give me.
As the person before said, you can get up to a maximum of £30 per week but you must attend, get all your sheets signed to say that you have attended and do well. You may even get a bonus at the end of the year if have attended fully and done well. |

Absolutely none
You are not unemployed, you are just not in work as you are a child.
Get a summer job at Tesco.
Your parents will still be getting child Benefit for you, so you are a child and can not claim anything in your own right at this time. You do not indicate any disability so the state contribute to you via your parents.
Depending on household income you may get an EMA when back at school, check with you school for details, but you will get no state benefits |

In England you may be eligible for an Education Maintenance Grant (EMA) depending on parental income. You will only receive this if you attend regularly and puncually and have a satisfactory progress record. |

None, apart from EMA when you start college, which is between £10-£30 a week, depending on your parents income.
If your parents earn alot, you don't get any EMA. Also, you don't get EMA if you do under 12 hours a week at college. |

Nothing. But you could get discount on the train and bus. Get a form from your local County Council. |
|

Number 1 mum
|
If your mum was to throw you out you could JSA which would be £35 a week. You will more than likely get EMA which is up to £40 a week depending in your parents income. |
