You were supposed to have *received* the W2 by January 31. However, the IRS asks that you wait until February 15 before reporting it to them.

So, if you still haven't got it on Friday, call the IRS at 800-829-1040 and report it!

If they don't have it to you by Friday, call the IRS at 1-800-TAX-1040 and file a missing W-2 complaint. You should have it within a few days of filing the complaint.

Employers are required to give them to you or place them in the mail by Jan 31st. (Oddly enough the law does NOT require them to be postmarked by then, only placed in the mail.)

Employers are required to send W-2s to employees by Jan. 31 each year. However, the IRS suggests allowing up to two weeks from that date for mailed forms to reach you you can call the irs and tell them and ask them on what to do they may be able to pull up your info

By law, they are required to have it post-marked by 1/31. If the W2s are truly not 'ready' and it is not a matter of having a viable address to send it to, then you can report them. I believe that you must do that thru the IRS. You should be able to call the 800# for them or check their website: www.irs.gov

They have until the end of January to get that information to you. If you have your last pay stub, that information will be on it and your taxes can be filed using your pay stub.

My hero lives in my heart
It has to be postmarked by Jan 31st
