Employer has until Jan 31 to provide the W2. You'll have to wait.

You wait until your employer sends it to you--which may be after 1/31. Quit rushing.

Nope. Your employer is the publisher of the form and they have until January 31 to mail them. Nobody else has a copy yet.

What year are you in reference to? Your employer is required by the IRS to keep records and a copy of your W2 form. If you are in reference to 08 you can fill out a substitute W2 form with information from your final paystub showing YTD figures.

For 2008? Have patience, they aren't out yet.
For earlier years, you can get a copy from the IRS if you can't get them from your employer, but they won't have state and local info, just federal.

You wait patiently until they arrive in the mail or your employer gives it to you. Employers are required to make them available to you by Jan 31st and they have a 15 day grace period beyond that before the IRS will get involved.
