What do yo have to do to have your tax refund in a week?
Is it true if you file electronically on a monday or tuesday you'll have your IRS refund in one week with direct deposit?

Sharon T
If your return is e-filed and accepted by 11 a.m. on Thursday, your refund will normally be direct deposited to your bank account a week and a day later (8 days).

Free tax prep and e-filing is available at AARP Tax-Aide sites across the country. Locations are listed at aarp.org, which has a link called Site Locator.

In most situations within or 9 days or less. With Direct Deposit.

No it will take 10 days to 2 weeks to get the refund.

For more information, and how to find status of your refund, read http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/when-will-you-get-your-tax-refund.html

Electronic file and direct deposit but dont know if the turn around regardless will be that quick unless you go somewhere that knows your refund and gives you the refund amount toward a car, etc. File them, submit and wait. I did my taxes through H&R Block Tax Cut, printed and mailed in and got mine in less than 3 weeks. The info said 4-6 weeks AFTER they received it.

The IRS says that efiled return are process quicker than paper returns. Early in the filing season I do believe that you might be correct about getting the refund in a week. But this time of year it is likely to take 2 to 3 weeks for the IRS to process the return and direct deposit the refund into your bank account.

Go to www.irs.gov and there is a section to click on that "Wheres My Refund". or call the IRS at (800) 829-1040.

you can get the rapid refund but i think it costs alot more...normally if you do it on a monday or tuesday you will have it on the following friday (not the friday of that week but the next) because they put direct deposits in on fridays

It takes 10 days I have found. You can get it back sooner if you file with someone like H&R Block. But what you are getting is a LOAN with a hefty fee and interest. People were not aware of this as reported on the news. So e-file and you will get it in the quickest time with NO fees.

If you go to H and R block, they can typically have it back same day or with in 3 but depends on your return if it is worth it or not!
