This is going to be an advance on 2008 tax refund. When you file your 2008 taxes in 2009, you will either received $800 less than you did before. Or, you will owe $800 more.
It is not a tax rebate. It is a short term loan with no interest charges. It is not a good idea. |

150 bil is a drop in the POOL compared to the Trillions of Trillions in the gross national product. Remember, they are dealing with so much friggin money that most people cannot even get their calculator to compute. 150 Bil is considered not enough for what they want to do.
Expect to see increased Federal spending as well- pet projects, well-fare, medical, unemployment, job and housing assistance, food stamps, clothing and school programs, etc.
The goal is to encourage the people to spend more, and it usually works. |
