Mr-K-
What do you think about the tax increases?
On Alcohol, cigs, petrol? (UK)

So now parents and O.A.P will have a little more income?
Child benefits will go up plus tax credits and for the old, winter Fuel allowence.
Personally I don't think parents should get anymore for children.
The worse affected will be single, low income people.
What do you think about the changes?

I agree with you, single low income people have the roughest deal now and get no help with nothing and you can guarantee we'll be hit again! I'm just waiting for them to abolish the non-taxable pay allowance!

someone once said there are two things inevitable in life tax's and death, how do you think they get the money to pay for a pointless war which are costing billions of pounds a year, six years already and will go on for many years to come because they can not be won.

☆Best of British.
single low income people can work though cant they?
its hard with children to pay for childcare and things. oaps have hardly nothing so i say give them as much as you want from my tax.
alcohol and cigs? not life's necessity's are they?
childcare, heating and food are. what are you on? people moan about mums and dads on benefits, so we go work but did you know the ava childcare cost for one month is £800 ? a wage of £1500 a month doesn't seem much now does it? tax credits pay for most of the childcare but not all, nappies cost £10 a week, food £50 p/w clothes £20 p month.plus loads more i could write a list as long as my arm. out of £360 p/w i get £60?? seems about right? try working 40 hrs and seeing that in the bank every week.

I will wait and see what the rest of the Budget brings. It seems to be the ordinary man in the street is always the one to pay.

"I don't think parents should get anymore for children"

What rubbish. Parents with children should be given the most help to make sure the children are brought up in the best way possible, so we don't have another generation of deprived delinquents.

speedy
it stinks

Has it ever occurred to you that taxation is unnecessary, and
could be eliminated?

More money for the Government to waste on whatever scandal they come up with next, with the added bonus of making it look like they're doing it to help us (more money on smoking, drinking, petrol etc)
