Dob her in!
Then appear to be appalled that anyone would do such a thing when she bellyaches to you about it!
I wouldn't hesitate to shop someone who was making false claims. It's stealing - and stealing from those least able to defend themselves. The more people claiming - the less money there is for each one and some folk are practically living on the bread line... DOB THE SELFISH COW! |
|

WHO am i?

report her to the social security, shes having her rent and council tax paid, scum like her should be imprisoned, no offence just a tax payer. |

I think your friend is committing fraud. And, it's illegal and immoral. If you feel the need, contact your State Insurance Commissioner. Drop her *** in the grease. |

I have a saying here .... 'don't moan about it if you are not going to do anything to stop it!'
Your friend is committing a criminal offence and obviously enjoying the fact that she is ripping off the state and the community. If she is caught, she may get a custodial sentence or community service. Her actions are nothing short of theft and criminal theft at that. My opinion? Phone up the benefits fraud hotline ....
you can even do it online ... as an informant you are treated anonymously and in total confidence.
Your friend is a thief ..... trouble is she doesn't realise how much trouble she is in. And it's people like that go on holiday three times a year at the tax payers expense. Think about it. |

I think people who do this should be reported. It is wrong and she will eventually get caught. if you were a friend you would suggest she stops now because she could end up with a prison sentence.
Maybe you should write an anonymous letter to her saying that you are aware of her fraudulent actitivies and that she has 2weeks to stop claiming benefits or you will report her.
Basically in my opinion someone who knows about another person claiming benefits fraudulently is just as bad - in a way you are an accessory to a crime, and makes you just as bad as her. |

report her and see wot happens, u can claim benefits and work but u r only allowed to work upto a certain amount of hours or wage. |

Stealthbong

Tell her to keep her gob shut. She'll get caught sooner or later if she keeps loud-mouthing it.
Living in the UK is very tricky on most wages and I can understand the temptation many people feel to abuse the system. But it's still wrong and if you brag about being a parasite, you deserve to be caught. |

I think they are very dishonest people, and It angers me that my taxes are going to them! |

Scum
I would shop my own family for cheating so.
Some of us pay massive tax - which I have no problems with Per Se - it's my membership to the club. Snag is should I be out of work I can't claim. I pay Tax at 40% then as a self employed director I pay employers and employees NI on my earnings - that 62% and rising - THEN if I have no work I can't claim for my kids, wife, house or nothing - why because I run myself as a company - why - because that's the way my industry is structured and that's what the government forced many contractors to do way back when - so now when we don't work we just go into debt.
How much TAX do you pay on your earnings?
Your friend's cheating and scum suckers like her (?) should be penalised with a repayment order with interest when caught - OR 1000s of hours of community service repaid at the rate of the minimum wage.
It's a crime to defraud anybody - it's a crime against everybody when you defraud the state - YOU are knowlingly associating with a criminal.
Good luck |

It's not fair to hard working tax payers, who pay higher taxes to support people like her, hope she gets caught sooner rather than later. |

that is totally taking the p1ss. when she gets found out, and believe me she will, she will have to pay back every penny she has claimed, plus a large fine and have a criminal record for fraud. tell her to start saving for this as it is sure to happen. its ok earning a little bit of pocket money (£20 before they deduct any from your benefit), but a whole wage is just a p1ss take |

that sort of thing would really bother me as well and i don't think i could be around someone who is take advantage of the system like that. |

If she's forever bragging about it then you won't ned to grass her because she's doing it to herself. Funny how these people are rarely the sharpest tools in the box, isn't it. |

it aint fair to us tax paying people!! |

I know what you mean. When people talk like that they always tend to think you agree with them and that compounds the problem for you. Look, tell her you don't agree, that you will not report her, and that you would rather not discuss this topic again. |

MR R SOLE

well you could leave your name anonymously to the dole office.
Unless she has just told you that shes working and nobody else. then she would know it was you.
Otherwise ring the headoffice of her workplace and let them know. Im sure they will do something about it. |

The government should make it harder for people to do that then they wouldnt would they? |

I very much doubt if she is claiming "Income support" [which is a benefit for those who do not work] and "tax credits" [which is a benefit for those who do].
And £250 per week "on the side" [which is more than most people earn in a legitimate job]
Perhaps she is lying to you? |

The only way this sort of fraud which costs all taxpayers money is for people to shop them to the authorities. This an be done anonymously if needs be It seems like easy money to your acqaintance but it is not fair on all the honest folk about and is stealing. |

Just suggest that she should stop it. Then if she does, the problem is solved. If she got a clear conscience and signed off, she would probably do more work and start on the straight and narrow. I speak from personal experience. |

as long as u realise that u are paying for her benefits, so u go to work, pay tax and she claims it, so basically u she gets paid for the hours u and every1 else works as well as her own....good friend to have |

She is breaking the law and your taxes are helping to fund her life-style. Why not tell her you don't approve and if she doesn't stop, cut off contact with her. |

You may not tell.
However, if she is always bragging about it then someone else will.
My feeling is that there are also those who neglect to pay tax or fail to declare 'cash in hand work' Those who pay for work done by cash in hand condone this.
There are 2 ways that we can steal from society.
1 to take from the collective pot that to which we are not entitled - such as your example.
2 to fail to pay into the collective pot that to which they have an obligation - such as mine.
Think about your 'silence'
And decide if you are not also culpable. |

Mr Sceptic

They are thieves, pure and simple.
And by not reporting her, you are an accessory to that theft. You are condoning it. |

its a liberty as me and my fella get taxed to death as he has his own business ! but your "mate" will get caught eventually as i have worked at the income support office and they know all the tell tale signs of a fiddler !! |

i dont know much about tax...but i think its unfir to tax payers...and if they are able to work properly i dont see why they dont... |

There is only one word to describe them, they are criminals. They are fraudulently claiming money from the general tax paying population. They should be prosecuted for fraud and made to pay back the money they received plus interest and fine. I also think any body that knows about benefit fraud should report the person. You should remember, it is not the governments money she is stealing, the government don't have any money. It is your money and the money of your friends and colleagues who go to work and pay their taxes. You can report benefit fraud anonymously on the following website.
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/campaigns/benefit-thieves/ |

Fraudulent claims to benefit cost this country millions of £ every year that could easily be paid to NHS instead of scum, so just remember by allowing anyone do this you could be stopping that little pill being prescribed to the cancer sufferer, your decision stay quiet cos she's a mate or save some-ones life |

Yes it is wrong but it is hard trying to survive these days.
I would not grass anyone up. I dont believe in grassing for petty things like that. And before you all start going "Its us that pay the taxs" you should think whether you would really pay any less. I dont think so. |

I'd report her, you don't have to give your name. Bout time she came back down to earth. |
