What federal tax form do I use if........?
I make less than $7,000 a year; I don't own a home or any property; I have NO children (thank God); I'm not married, and I gave money to my local church last year. Is there a special form I need to do my taxes?

I agree with the majority of people here that said use form 1040EZ.

However, I had to comment on the so-called "tax pro" that told you to go see a tax professional... DO NOT LISTEN. You make so little that you would almost surely qualify for FREE income tax preparation at a local income tax clinic. search the web for your city or call local colleges, business school, law school, to see if they have one.

Paying a tax professional would be a ripoff. (and it is for the vast majority of people, too.)

1040EZ and you will not be able to deduct the money you gave to your local church.

1040EZ

1040EZ and use the standard deduction. Charitable has no affect on your taxes because you are not itemizing since you are taking the standard deduction

1040EZ would be the best to use

You can probably use 1040EZ. If you aren't a dependent, then you won't owe any taxes, so there's no reason to itemize. The money given to your church would be an itemized deduction, but your total itemized deductions would have to be more than the $5150 you get automatically as a standard deduction, and it probably isn't - even if it is, there would still be no benefit to itemizing since you won't owe any tax anyway.

If you are not a dependent and are at least 25 years old, you might be eligible for an earned income credit.

No special form...use the 1040EZ. Unless you gave the church more than what your normal deduction will be, you can't claim it anyway.

You can use the standard 1040 form. It has a block to enter small contributions to charity like churches and goodwill etc. If you gave a lot anf need to itemize, you will need an additional form.

Without knowing your exact situation, it appears you fall into the EIC range for an additional refund. It can be significant, depending on other factors such as occupation, state, age, etc. You probably qualify for the Telecommunications credit.

I suggest you got to a Tax Pro. There are provisions for reduced tax prep rates for low income individuals. The cost of the Tax Pro will be small relative to the refund.
